The business looking to move into the former Choice unit in Watford High Street has been revealed in new plans.
Merkur Slots Ltd has submitted a pair of planning applications seeking permission to change the use of the store to an "adult gaming centre" and hang signs bearing its logo outside, which appeared on the planning portal this week.
It already has two locations in Watford High Street including one next-door to the unit but application documents state that the lease on the neighbouring location is due to expire.

They add: “Merkur Slots Ltd are keen to relocate along the same frontage to maintain their presence within this stretch of the high street.”
Choice Fashion & Home Outlet left the unit vacant after it moved into the lower mall level of the former John Lewis inside atria Watford, in June this year.
The lease was then put up for sale with a guide price of £70,000 per year.
Merkur operates more than 700 venues across the UK. The company says its locations should not be put in the same category as betting shops because of the low stakes.
It added that the average stake from customers is between 30p and 40p with the maximum allowed being £2.
Both applications are currently pending council consideration.
