Plans to build a three-bedroom home behind a High Street have been withdrawn after highways objections.
The applicant asked Hertsmere Borough Council for permission to build a four-bedroom house after subdividing an existing home's plot in March but has withdrawn the plan yesterday (October 15).
It comes after Hertfordshire County Council Highways recommended that the application be refused because it felt that it failed to demonstrate the parking arrangements, which involved creating a new access, were suitable.

The new home would have been built to the side of the existing house. External finishes were designed to match the neighbouring house, which was itself the subject of a planning application for permission to extend it to the rear.
The concurrent application has not been withdrawn and is currently “pending consideration”.
A new plot's boundary fence on the other side would have been shared with Bushey Driving Range.
When the proposal was submitted, the applicant claimed that the “demonstrable benefits of providing new housing” would “outweigh any drawbacks”.
