One section of the M25 is set for several different closures over the next fortnight in the list of motorway works.

Maintenance works underway between 10pm and 5am from October 22 to October 24 mean motorists will need to take a diversion if they would be using the M25 anti-clockwise between junction 23 and junction 22.

This is expected to cause up to 30 minutes of delays to journeys and is not the only closure near junction 23 planned for the next two weeks.

M25:

  • (In progress) From 8pm September 30 to 6am December 20: Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). M25 clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24. Lane and slip road closure for scheme works. Diversion via National Highways roads.
  • From 10pm October 21 to 5.30am October 26: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Anti-clockwise, junction 24 to junction 23. Lane closure for emergency area upgrade works.
  • From 10pm October 21 to 5am November 16: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24. Mobile lane closures in both directions for horticultural works.
  • From 10pm October 22 to 5am October 24: Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Anti clockwise, junction 23 to junction 22. Lane closures, carriageway closure and entry slip road closure for maintenance works. Diversion via local authority and National Highways roads.
  • From 10pm October 28 to 5.30am November 1: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Clockwise, junction 22 to junction 23. Lane closure for surfacing works.

M1:

  • From 10pm October 18 to 5am October 19: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Southbound, junction 5 to junction 4. Lane closure for urgent technology works.
  • From 8pm October 21 to 5am October 22: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Southbound, junction 5 to junction 4. Lane closures for urgent technology works.

A1:

  • From 11pm October 18 to 5am October 19: Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). A1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2. Lane closures, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slip road for maintenance works. Diversion via National Highways roads.
  • From 9.30am October 23 to 4pm October 31: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 2. Hard shoulder closure for speed reduction scheme.
  • From 10pm October 23 to 5.30am November 1: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 2. Hard shoulder closure for speed reduction works.
  • From 11pm October 25 to 5am October 26: Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). A1(M) southbound, junction 2 to junction 1. Lane closures and carriageway closure between exit and entry slip road for maintenance works. Diversion via National Highways roads.
