A prolific Watford shoplifter has been jailed after four thefts from a shop she was already banned from.
Jenna Harris, of Lincoln Drive, appeared in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on October 2 having admitted to four thefts from the Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, Tesco Express in September and was sentenced to 40 weeks imprisonment.
The 54-year-old also pleaded guilty to breaching an existing Criminal Behaviour Order(CBO), set in April 2024, which had stated she was not to enter certain supermarkets, including the Tesco Express.
Update (October 16): Herts Police have confirmed that Jenna Harris appealed her sentence, was released, and has been placed on a suspended sentence.

Officers used CCTV to identify her before she was arrested and charged on October 1.
PC Marcus Zost said: “We are working hard to tackle shoplifting in Three Rivers and are using CBOs wherever possible for repeat offenders.
“This means persistent offenders can face custodial sentences if they breach their order and continue to offend.
“Today (October 14) also marks the start of Safer Business Action Week, a national initiative to help tackle business and retail crime in local communities.
“As part of the initiative, police and partners will be holding action days throughout the week and visiting local retailers and other businesses to understand more about the issues they are facing on a daily basis.”
