A reckless driver smashed his a car into an ambulance in a dangerous bid to avoid arrest after speeding away from police.
Herts Police tried to stop a black Ford Fiesta in Watling Street, near Elstree, at around 8.30pm on Friday (October 11).
It hit the ambulance at the Allum Lane junction with Watling Street after failing to stop.

The Ford driver then left the scene. Officers are still working to track them down after a police helicopter circled the area above Watling Street, between Elstree Aerodrome and Borehamwood, on Friday evening.
A Herts police spokesman said: "No patients were in the ambulance at the time and the driver was unhurt."
Road closures were put in place while the Ford Fiesta and the ambulance were recovered.
Herts Police confirmed the closure had been lifted just before 9pm on Friday.
