Alcohol will be able to be sold at a community centre if a licence is granted.

Oxhey Hall Community Association has applied for a premises licence to sell alcohol and play recorded music at Oxhey Hall Community Centre.

Details of the application have been published in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.

Here are four notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford, Oxhey, Chorleywood and Croxley Green. 

Raglan Gardens – premises licence

A community association is applying for a licence to sell alcohol and play music at a community centre.

Oxhey Hall Community Association has applied to Three Rivers District Council for a new premises licence to allow the following to take place at Oxhey Hall Community Centre, in Raglan Gardens:

Sale of alcohol (on and off premises): Monday to Wednesday, 4pm to 11pm; Thursday, 4pm to 11.30pm; Friday to Saturday, 11am to midnight; Sunday, 11am to 11pm.

Late night refreshment: Sunday to Wednesday, 11pm to 11.30pm; Thursday, 11pm to midnight; Friday to Saturday, 11pm to 12.30am.

Recorded music: Sunday to Wednesday, 11pm to 11.30pm; Thursday, 11pm to midnight; Friday to Saturday, 11pm to 12.30am.

Bushey Mill Lane, Watford – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Bushey Mill Lane, Watford from a point 30m north west of its junction with Southfield Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m to allow level crossing maintenance works to be carried out.

If made, the order will come into force on October 21 and be valid for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the road.

Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood – temporary closure

The county council is intending to make an order to temporarily close Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with A404 Rickmansworth Road north eastwards to its junction with Sarratt Lane, a distance of approximately 1438m for roadworks.

In addition, all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the road whilst works are in progress.

This order, if made, will come into force on October 21 and be valid for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated on signs at or near the roads.

Estate of Joan Wright

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Joan Wright, late of 39 Warwick Way, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth WD3 3SB, who died on February 20, 2024 should send written particulars to Howard Schneider c/o Darlington Hardcastles Solicitors, 28 Church Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1DD.

This should be done by December 5, 2024.
