“Brainless idiots” pulled down goalposts and tore up tree supports to throw into gardens on a rampage through a park.
Residents backing onto Barton Way Green Space, Croxley Green, woke to find stakes in their gardens on Sunday morning (October 6) and two goalposts were thrown into the park’s boundary.
Furious parkgoers blasted the yobs as “brainless idiots” and described the damage as “so sad”. Three Rivers councillor Narinder Sian highlighted that, although no one was hurt, throwing the poles “could have caused serious injury”.

The Green councillor, who represents Dickinsons ward, said: "It’s deeply concerning that vandals have targeted the newly planted trees in this way.
“This kind of antisocial behaviour not only damages our green spaces but also puts residents at risk.
“We are working closely with the district council and local authorities to ensure this issue is addressed, and to keep our parks safe for everyone.”
He added: “I'm grateful to the parish council for stepping in and collecting the stakes for safekeeping."
The vandalism has been reported to police.
