Plans have been submitted that would see car rental giant Enterprise take up residence at a new site in Watford.
An application to Hertsmere Borough Council has requested a change of use, which would entail vacant office space become a new premises for the business.
Enterprise currently has a branch in Cassio Road but is looking to move two-and-a-half miles to 9A Elton Way.

The company says that the expansion would represent "significant investment" in the town, claiming that the new, larger site would double the number of jobs in Watford, with seven new employees being taken on.
The opening hours for the business would be between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.
A covering letter accompanying the application says: "The proposed development here will provide a new rental vehicle branch to support the sustainable expansion of Enterprise’s business and provide a sustainable transport solution for local residents and workers as an alternative to private car ownership."
"There are significant and tangible benefits associated with Enterprise’s use of the proposal site; not least delivering an active and employment generating use at an existing commercial use site."
The plans can be viewed and commented on until October 30 by visiting the Hertsmere planning portal and entering reference 24/1245/FUL.
