An 18-year-old has denied grievous bodily harm with intent after police linked a stabbing to wider violence in Watford.
Marcel Gordon, of Abbey View in the Meriden Estate, appeared in St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday (October 8) and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Another hearing has been set for November 29, for further case management.

Gordon was arrested on Friday, September 11, and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after police were called to reports of an assault in the takeaway Maeme’s Watford in Clarendon Road on Tuesday, July 23.
It was reported that two people had entered a shop with knives and attacked a man. When officers found the victim, another man in his 20s, he was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound.
Police said they were linking it to a series of “targeted” attacks including a shooting on the A41 in Watford, on July 25, and an incident in Meriden Park earlier that day.
An attack outside Watford High Street Station on July 10, which saw a man in his 20s chased by suspects brandishing a gun, is also being linked.
