Dozens of homes have been left without power after an "unexplained" outage on a road in Kings Langley.
Power has been lost at up to 58 addresses in Whitlars Drive since 8.12pm last night (October 8) after a problem with an underground electricity cable.
Repairs were delayed by a gas leak, with UK Power Networks informing customers that work was on hold for safety reasons.

The company now hopes that power will be restored between 12.30pm and 1.30pm today.
In a message on its website, UK Power Networks said: "Our engineers have just called in to let us know that the gas board have advised it's safe to progress our repairs to the underground cable fault.
"Our digging team are continuing with excavations and we're now working towards between 12:30 and 13:30 to have power back on. We can appreciate how frustrating and disruptive being without power can be, and our staff are working as fast as they can."
UK Power Networks said it is hopeful some customers could have power returned sooner as work continues.
An outage has also caused issues for Virgin Media customers in Rickmansworth, with the broadband provider unable to provide services in the area until 4pm today.
