Police busted a huge cannabis factory in Chorleywood – but the owners have so far have evaded officers.
The property in Rickmansworth Road was discovered with more than 1,200 plants on Wednesday, September 4, following which the force today (October 8) appealed for information.
It was uncovered after reports of suspicious behaviour at the site – which was rented at the time – and an investigation is underway to catch those responsible.
Three Rivers Inspector Amy Tarver said: “Cannabis farms are not only illegal but they present a danger to neighbouring properties as they are a serious fire risk. The destruction of this cannabis factory will significantly disrupt the local drugs network and make the community safer.”

She also urged anyone who is suspicious about a property to report it via the police website or non-emergency number 101.
Signs to look out for include a powerful and sickly smell, frequent visitors throughout days and nights, chinks of bright light throughout nights, and fan noises.
High levels of window condensation, birds gathering on roofs in cold weather, and electricity meter tampering are also tell tale signs.
