Police have confirmed that a man who “caused a great deal of fear” has been jailed for more than a year after a fake gun and two swords were found.
Calvin Price, 31, was given a 14-month sentence at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, October 2, after admitting to possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and affray.
He was armed with a machete and a baseball bat when he threatened to harm residents in the Jasmine Place area of Hemel Hempstead who challenged him over “the manner of his driving”, on the morning of June 22.

Detective Constable Paul Sammons said: “Thankfully no one was hurt during the incident but Price’s actions on that morning understandably caused a great deal of fear among residents living in the area.”
Price, now of Silk Mill Way, Tring, was detained at a nearby address after armed police were called.
A search later revealed an imitation firearm, a baseball bat, and two swords.
