Plans have been submitted to turn a cattle building into a home in Kings Langley - would you live in a former cow shed?
A proposal has been submitted by DLA Town Planning Ltd to Dacorum Borough Council to change the building's use for the first time since 1960. Prior to this, the barn was utilised for agricultural purposes namely for cows and livestock.
The vacant site, located in the northern part of Chipperfield village, is formally named The Cow Shed on Tenements Lane.

Proposed floor plans include three bedrooms, an office, kitchen/dining space and a living room, with a 4m rear extension for three parking spaces - which would result in the loss of some existing hedgerow.
There are 14 constraints for the planning application as Chipperfield is a conservation area with green belt land.
Following a visit to the barn on October 2, a structural engineer commented: "The structural integrity of the two building elements is sound, robust and has been designed subject to higher uplift and wind damage than a closed building.
"For this reason, the column and rafter sizes are robust."
They went onto highlight that there is "no evidence of structural defects" that would affect a conversion.
Currently, the application has been submitted and will be subject to consultation on Thursday, October 24.
