Herts Police have confirmed that a man in his 80s has been found dead in a canal near Watford.
Croxley Common Moor canal path was closed off by the force officers this morning.
Police have confirmed they were called with reports of concern for the welfare of a man in the canal at around 6.52am today (October 4).

Officers arrived at the scene alongside the East of England Ambulance Service and Herts Fire and Rescue but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed that his next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
“Our thoughts are with them at this sad time,” a spokesperson confirmed.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious, and enquiries continue.”
