A proposal to convert a former high street discount retailer in Hertfordshire into flats is among the latest planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils.

An application has been submitted to Dacorum Borough Council to turn the former B&M store, at 192 to 196 Marlowes, into 12 self-contained one-bedroom flats.

The application forms states that "many of the surrounding buildings have already been converted into residential accommodation" and "the ground floor of the site will remain in commercial useage together with small areas of the first floors".

B&M moved into new premises in Marlowes Shopping Centre earlier this year.
