A Watford doctor is set to appear for a tribunal inquiring into alleged false evidence given over the death of a baby.
A medical practitioner’s tribunal will look into the allegation that, between January 25 and December 27, 2017, Dr Charity Gentry “failed to provide good clinical care to five patients”.
Pre-hearing information says that this included “failing to interpret an ultrasound scan correctly, refer a patient to a specialist colleague, record or document discussions with patients, conduct an adequate examination of a patient, seek advice, or a second opinion from colleagues”.

It adds: “It is further alleged that, on February 18, 2020, Dr Gentry gave false evidence at a coroner’s inquest regarding the death of a baby and that her actions were dishonest.”
The misconduct hearings are scheduled to sit from October 29 to November 8, November 25 to December 3, and December 16 to 19.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service runs hearings to make independent decisions about whether doctors are fit to practise in the UK.
It lists Watford as the area of practice for Dr Gentry.
