Reports of a woman with a knife sparked a large emergency response at a block of flats.
Herts Police have confirmed why they were called to Station Road, Kings Langley, last night (October 1) after nearby residents said they saw around six police cars and an ambulance outside Shannon House.
The force had been called at 7.31pm with reports of “a woman in possession of a knife at a property” in the road.

“Officers attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital due to concerns for her welfare,” a spokesperson added.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Shannon House, a former office building, was converted into 74 flats after it was sold for £3,450,000. A proposal to convert it into 28 residential units was approved, but further applications to make 74 and 64 units were refused.
In 2020, the plan for 74 homes was allowed at appeal before the permission was extended for six months and the development went ahead before June 2024.
