A 37-year-old man will be tried at crown court after he denied having over £260,000 in criminal money in Watford.
Apeks Falkontis, of Bessemer Place in South London, appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday (September 27) charged with two counts of acquiring or possessing criminal property.
In court, the 37-year-old denied having £266,410, believed to be criminal property, in Watford and a further £16,040 in Greenwich on July 7, 2023.

Falkontis was released on unconditional bail before he faces a trial at St Albans Crown Court on October 29.
The National Crime Agency has been contacted for more information on the alleged offences.

Andrei Spoiala, of Little Oxhey Lane in Watford, also appeared at East Berkshire Magistrates' Court in Slough on Friday charged with speeding.
The 23-year-old admitted driving a grey Audi at above the 40mph limit on the A41 near Bicester after she was caught by a manned speed gun.
She was ordered to pay £1,040 including a £750 fine, and was handed six points to her licence.
