A brutal attack near North Watford left a victim with a bleed on his brain as he was hit by a car and assaulted by two men.
The pedestrian had been crossing St Albans Road while walking his dog when he was hit – sparking a verbal row – between 8.25pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday (September 25).
A pair of men then got out of the car and attacked him, close to the junction with Judge Street, near the Tesco Express store.

Detective Constable Georgia Boyle said: “The victim required treatment for a bleed on his brain, numerous facial fractures and two black eyes. He remains in hospital at this time.
“We have arrested two men in connection with this incident and they have been released on police bail while our investigation continues.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch by emailing me at georgia.boyle@herts.police.uk.”
Update: The two men were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH). Both are from Watford and in their 20s.
