These are six Watford residents who have landed in court in recent months over knife crime offences.

The list includes two teenagers charged over a pair of stabbings which took place just hours apart and are being treated as linked by police, as part of the investigation into the A41 shooting.

A 16-year-old from the town was also hauled before magistrates accused of having a "hunting knife" at London Euston Station.

Marcel Gordon

Marcel Gordon, of Abbey View in the Meriden, was arrested on September 6 and brought before magistrates charged with grievous bodily harm with intent over a stabbing in Maeme’s takeaway in Clarendon Road just before 10.20pm on July 23.

Police said two people apparently entered a shop with knives and assaulted a man and when officers found the victim, another man in his 20s, he was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound.

The 18-year-old was remanded into custody before he appears at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, October 8.

Desmond Bonato

Watford teen Desmond Bonato was among three people brought before the courts over an attack in Brocklesbury Close at around 12.15am on July 24 which left a man in his 20s with stab wounds.

The 18-year-old, of Raphael Drive, Watford, was charged with attempted murder before magistrates and was remanded into police custody before his next appearance at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, October 17.

A 16-year-old from Watford appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (September 24) charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place.

The teen admitted having a “hunting knife” at London Euston Station on September 4 and was referred to the Hertfordshire youth offender panel for nine months, meaning the offence will be dealt with by a team of volunteers and justice system representatives.

Rogerio Costa-Cravalho

Rogerio Costa-Cravalho, of Liverpool Road in Watford, appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court on September 26 for sentencing over possession of a bladed article and possession of heroin.

The 37-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to having a knife and five wraps of the Class A in Durban Road West on June 4, but was released on unconditional bail as the hearing was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Davie Turner

Davie Turner, of Penrose Avenue, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court and Family Court on September 25 charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The 20-year-old admitted having a Stanley knife in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, on August 30 “without good reason” and was released on unconditional bail before sentencing on December 4.

Bobby Barlow

Bobby Barlow, of no fixed abode in Watford, appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court over multiple offences on August 29.

The 31-year-old admitted using threatening words or behaviour against a woman and having a knife in Epsom Road, Watford, on June 19 “without good reason”, as well as burgling the Tasty Bean Cafe in Oxhey Activity Park on June 24.

He also denied but was found guilty of using threatening behaviour against another man on June 24 and was remanded into custody before sentencing on October 7.

Harry O'Leary

Harry O'Leary, of Harris Road, appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court on August 27 charged with possession of a knife and class A drugs.

The 19-year-old admitted having an eight-inch knife and a “a quantity of an unknown substance, a controlled drug of class A”  in Bunkers lane, Hemel Hempstead, on October 27, 2023, and was released on unconditional bail for sentencing on October 24.
