Drivers faced rush hour misery on the M25 this morning after a three-car crash caused miles of traffic.
The collision was at around 6.15am (October 1) just before junction 18 for Rickmansworth anticlockwise, forcing National Highways to shut one lane as it cleared the pile-up.
Motorway cameras showed workers loading a small dark-coloured car onto a recovery lorry, as well as queues of traffic backed up as far as junction 20 for the M1.
Traffic was also slow coming clockwise from junction 17 for Maple Cross due to onlookers.
The East of England Ambulance Service did not attend and a spokesperson for Herts Police confirmed they were called but it was dealt with by National Highways officers.
They added: "One person reported minor injuries and made their own way to hospital as a precautionary measure."

Hertfordshire Police have been contacted for more information.
There were still around five miles of traffic and delays of up to 30 minutes when the closure was lifted at around 8am, according to National Highways.
The knock-on congestion has taken hours to clear as there are still minor delays on the stretch below junction 18 by 11am.
