A recent community tea party was held in Watford by a councillor to bring residents together.
The event on Saturday (September 28) was hosted by North Watford county councillor Asif Khan and took place at Hollytree House in Gammons Lane.
Residents enjoyed an afternoon of tea, cake, sandwiches, samosas, pakoras, and lively conversation.
Councillor Khan said: "Bringing people together is what community is all about, and today's tea party was a wonderful example of that.
"We had great food, fantastic company, and lots of laughter. I look forward to organising more events like this in the future."
The event was deemed a success, with attendees expressing their enjoyment of the friendly gathering, according to the councillor. He thanked all contributors, giving special thanks to Mrs Chaudhury for her samosas and Nirmala Singhvi for her food.
Watford MP Matt Turmaine, who was among those present, added: "Not everyone has friends and family nearby. Socialising does everyone good and I heard some great stories. It was lovely to chat."
