An animal rehoming centre has received 70 litres of paint to help restore its facilities.
The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) in Watford was given the donation of Crown paint by home improvement retailer Wickes.
The paint is being used to refresh the weather-worn outdoor areas, which are essential for housing animals awaiting new homes.
Josephine Hantonne, fundraising officer at NAWT, said: "We are so thankful to Wickes for arranging this donation.
"It will make such a difference as we repair some weather damage and spruce up our outdoor spaces."
The rescue centre provides a safe and rehabilitative space for more than 400 animals annually.
Since the majority of its income comes from fundraising, most of the funds are directed towards the animals' care, leaving little for building maintenance.
Hannah Randle Hockin, community engagement manager at Wickes, said: "The Wickes Community Programme is proud to partner with Crown Paint to support NAWT.
"Being able to give back to the local community is important to us as a business, and this donation allows us to make a real difference.
"Crown Paint has also pledged to give back to the communities we serve, and together, we’re helping create a better environment for both the animals and the staff who care for them."
