Hertfordshire Police have named the 30-year-old man who was killed in the midnight shooting which rocked Kings Langley.
Officers were called to reports of gunshots in Railway Terrace at around 12.33am on Tuesday, September 17.
They raced to the area where they found Mustapha Jatta seriously injured, before he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the 30-year-old was from Nottingham and said their enquiries were ongoing to establish his movements on the day before the attack.
The force also received a report of a white Volkswagen Golf on fire less than 15 minutes later in Furtherfield, Abbots Langley, which police believe is linked.
Detective Inspector Dale Mepstead said today (September 24): “It is now a week since Mustapha sadly lost his life, and our thoughts remain with his family and loved ones at this very difficult time. We will continue to support them throughout this investigation.
“I’d like to thank the members of the public who have spoken to us and assisted with our enquiries. We are continuing to explore all lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances of what happened that evening.
“If there is anyone who may have witnessed or who has footage of the incident in Railway Terrace but is yet to speak to police, please come forward.

“It is believed that the white Volkswagen Golf located in Abbots Langley could be connected to the incident. Therefore, I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the surrounding areas prior to or after the incident to please contact us.
"If you have a dash cam fitted, I’d encourage you to please check your footage as you may have captured something that could assist with our investigation.
“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please do get in touch.”
