- Railway lines between Watford Junction and London Euston were closed in the early hours of the morning (September 23) as a result of flooding.
- Lines reopened by 6.07am but delays and cancellations remain and are expected to continue until 7.30am.
- Just after midnight, Herts Police shared a warning to motorists to avoid the A41 near Costco due to flooding and there are reports that other commonly flooded areas such as the Leavesden underpass and The Gossamers are also flooded.
- Residents on the road early this morning raised concerns that travel would be “chaos” later-on.
- A yellow weather warning for rain from the Met Office is in place all day.
