A plan to install more than 800 solar panels on the roof of a Hertfordshire sports centre is among the latest planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils.

Dacorum Borough Council has applied to its own planning authority for permission to install 820 solar panels on the roof of Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre.

The application form states: "The annual energy production will be around 345.73MWh."
