Police have made further arrests and charged three people in “significant progress” for the investigation into a shooting in Watford.
Four people were arrested on Wednesday (September 18) after a man in his 20s was left in a “life threatening” condition following a run-in with the occupants of a black BMW on the A41 North Western Avenue.
He had been travelling southbound on an e-bike, near the Meriden area, when shots were fired at around 5.20pm on July 25.

On Wednesday, armed officers raided a house in Yarmouth Road which led to police arresting two people in Toms Lane, Kings Langley, that day.
Carlito Dujon, 20, of Dodd Road, Watford, was re-arrested in Toms Lane and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today (September 20).
A 38-year-old woman who was arrested in Toms Lane, Kings Langley, has been released on police bail.
The force also arrested two women on Wednesday on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Selin Johnson, 23, of High Meadow Crescent, London, was re-arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice. She was released on court bail and will next appear at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, October 17.
Zarmina Galmne, 24, of Village Way in Pinner, London, was also charged with perverting the course of justice. She was released on court bail and will appear at the same court on the same day.
Detective Inspector Mark Butler said: “I hope these charges send a clear message to those involved that we are committed to disrupting criminality which has no place in Hertfordshire.
“We have now charged four people in connection with this investigation and will continue to work tirelessly and exhaust every line of enquiry.”
In August, Herts Police charged Hekmat Galmne, 26, of Village Way in Pinner, with attempted murder in connection with the shooting. He was remanded into custody ahead of his next court appearance on Thursday, September 26.
Watford Chief Inspector Andy Wiseman added: “I’m pleased that we have made significant progress with these charges and would like to thank all the teams involved.
“We have also made a number of arrests and charges in connection to other reports of violence across the town. I hope this reassures residents that we will not stop and will continue to work hard to keep everyone safe.”
Police have confirmed that the charges are not being linked to the shooting in Railway Terrace, Kings Langley, on Tuesday morning.
