Whether you’re looking to move house or you are just curious about property prices in Watford and nearby areas, look no further.

While Watford doesn't have a reputation for offering the most affordable housing, the town and nearby villages are popular due to their travel links to London and its closeness to the countryside.

Now, researchers at Zoopla have outlined the priciest postcodes, breaking them down by the median property value and the typical asking price in each location.

The most expensive postcodes in Watford area revealed

Topping the list was the WD7 postcode area, covering Radlett and Shenley, where the average asking price of a home is upwards of £1,539,600.

Currently, in that area, there is a large six-bed detached home with a guide price of £2,295,000 set on The Drive in Radlett.

Also in that area for a cheaper average price of £1,295,000 is the three-bed detached home on Watling Street that is set in an old engine shed.

Second on the expensive postcodes was WD3, which is just west of the Cassiobury area covering Croxley Green, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood, with an average price of £909,600 according to Zoopla.

One house on the market in that area is a three-bed detached home costing £815,000 set on Little Green Lane.

There are also some slightly cheaper options like the three-bed bungalow with a guide price of £795,000.

In third place was WD4 with an average price of £771,600, in that area of Kings Langley you can get a four-bed semi-detached home for £800,000 or a three-bed end-of-terrace for £625,000.

WD23 in Bushey followed with a price of £663,600, on Zoopla you can currently get a three-bed cottage for £500,000 or a two-bed flat for £350,000.

Last on the most expensive list is WD6 - covering Elstree and Borehamwood - with an average house guide price of £626,000.

At the moment, you can buy a three-bed semi-detached home for £635,000 or a two-bed terraced house for £375,000.
