Watford's MP attended a picnic and a fire museum open day on a busy afternoon in town.
Matt Turmaine was among around 60 people at the Nigerians in Watford Association picnic, held near the Cassiobury Park bandstand on Saturday, September 7.
"It was great to be invited along and I enjoyed the music and dancing," he said.
The picnic was organised by the executive team of the Nigerians in Watford Association.
Brume Agbaire said: "We are pleased that Matt could join us, and it was a pleasure to have him there.
"Everyone enjoyed themselves thanks to the planning committee led by Tonia Orims of the Nigerians in Watford Association."
Mr Turmaine also attended an open day at Watford Fire Museum, which was an opportunity for residents to learn more about fire fighting past and present.
The MP said: "It was also good to see all the old fire engines and the interesting photographic display at the museum too."
Labour member Mr Turmaine was elected as the town's MP with a majority of 4,723 in July.
