Emergency services have confirmed why an air ambulance was spotted landing in Cassiobury Park.
Residents reported seeing an Essex & Herts Air Ambulance helicopter flying across Watford yesterday evening (September 9) before touching down in the park at around 7.15pm.
Air traffic data shows that the pilot had taken off from the service's North Weald Bassett airfield in Essex and looped above Chelmsford.
The helicopter then headed west to St Albans before circling several times above Watford and settling in the park.

They added: “Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
