The developer behind a scheme of up to 700 homes has shared a map of how it could look ahead of community engagement events.

Clarion Housing confirmed it intends to submit plans to build hundreds of homes, a primary school, retail and office space, a community hub and an 18-hectare park in an area of land north of Farm Way, Bushey, last month.

It says the proposed park would be Bushey’s largest and highlighted the benefits of affordable housing and community infrastructure being built in the area.

However, there have long been concerns over the use of the green belt site for housing and so the company said that “engagement with stakeholders and especially the local community is at the forefront of our minds” while designs are developed.

As part of this, Latimer by Clarion Housing Group, Hill, and The Masonic Charitable Foundation shared a leaflet with residents today (September 6) offering the latest information on the scheme and a map of how the site could look.

It also confirmed that it would be hosting public exhibitions where it will share more information and neighbours can give feedback on the plans.

The first will be held at the Metropolitan Bushey between 2pm and 6pm on Thursday, September 19. Another event will be held at the same location from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, September 28.
