Motorists are likely to experience delays on some of Watford’s busiest routes this month due to roadworks.
Water works are set to cause delays in St Albans Road from Monday and this is also the reason while a closure is due to start in Clarendon Road from Friday, September 13.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in and around Watford in the next few weeks:
- Delays are likely in St Albans Road, Watford, from Monday to Wednesday for works by Affinity Water. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Regent Street.
- Queens Road, Watford, is due to be shut to vehicles from 9.30am to 4pm, from Monday to Wednesday for roadworks. The closure will be in place from the junction of Orphanage Road to Radlett Road. A diversion will be in operation but emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Gas works by Cadent means Fuller Road, Watford, will be closed to vehicles from Monday to September 20. The work is due to take place close to where it joins St Georges Road.
- The Drive, Rickmansworth, will be closed to motorists between 9am and 4pm from Tuesday to Saturday, September 14 for roadworks. The closure will be in place from the junction with Nightingale Road to the junction with The Clump. A diversion will be in operation and emergency access maintained.
- A road closure will be in place in Clarendon Road, Watford, from Friday, September 13 to September 16 for works by Affinity Water. A diversion will be in operation.
- Motorists will be prohibited from using Sheepcot Lane, Watford, from 9.30am to 4pm between September 16 to September 20 while resurfacing works take place. The work will be taking place from outside the ESSO garage on the roundabout to the junction of High Road.
- Horseshoe Lane, Watford, will be shut from 8pm to 5am between September 16 to September 20 for resurfacing work between No. 258 to No. 9. A diversion will be in operation.
- Multi-way traffic lights will be in use in The Harebreaks, Watford, from September 16 to September 27 while Cadent carry out gas works.
