A two-vehicle crash left a car mangled and saw firefighters rip the roof off before the drivers were taken to hospital.
Police were called at around 11.35am today (September 3) after a red Kia Ceed and grey Citroen C1 collided at the junction of Hemp Lane and Tring Road, near Tring.
The Kia driver, a man in his 30s, and the Citroen driver, a woman in her 50s, were both taken to hospital via ambulance after the crash.
It is not if or how badly the pair were injured. The East of England Ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
Berkhamsted fire station shared a dramatic photo online of the Kia after firefighters were forced to cut the male driver out of it.
The front bonnet is seen completed smashed, while the fire service had cut off all the doors and roof to rescue the man.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area as police officers closed the road to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident, causing delays in both directions on Tring Road.
The closures were lifted at 1.40pm with delays clearing by around 2pm, according to Hertfordshire County Council.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer Mark Barber said: “Our on-call crew from Berkhamsted Fire Station were returning from an incident near Tring when they came across a two-vehicle collision on the A4251 at Cow Roast shortly before 11.50am.
“One person was trapped in their car and firefighters, assisted by a full-time crew from Hemel Hempstead, removed the roof so they could be safely extricated from the vehicle and handed over to the ambulance service.
“We are currently recruiting for on-call fire fighters across the county – people who are passionate about serving their community, protecting people and saving lives – anyone who is interested in learning more please visit the Fire Service pages on the Hertfordshire County Council website.”
