Numerous West Herts NHS Trust staff have been shortlisted across three prestigious national healthcare awards.
The trust, which covers Watford General Hospital, hailed the "bumper crop" of finalists which include four teams and two individuals in a variety of categories in the Nursing Times Workforce Awards and the HSJ awards.
Among them is doctor Shamira Ghouse, who has been shortlisted for 'Clinician of the Year' in the BAME Health and Care Awards 2024 on September 26.
Two members of the team have also been shortlisted in the 'Preceptor of the Year' category. Junior Nurse Simeon Cruz and Preceptor Ela Ab Mumin have both been recognised for "inspiring" and "excellent" work within their roles.
West Herts chief nurse Kelly McGovern said: “Well done to all our finalists for their hard work and commitment to the trust, our colleagues and patients. We wish you the very best of luck.”
