Pupils will have extra classroom space as a secondary school is set to build a new block.
The Reach Free School, in Long Lane, Rickmansworth, was granted permission to build two modular single-storey buildings on its site yesterday (August 28).
One of these is earmarked for use as a drama room while the other, linked via a concreted area between the two, will be used for storage and offices.

- Secondary school submits plans to extend James Theatre
This would not see an increase in the number of pupils at the school but will provide more space for drama lessons and is expected for be used for up to 30 fifty-minute periods per week.
It will be built between the school hall and the sports hall, in land currently used as a storage area.
The offices will house the school’s three premises staff. Three storage rooms are going to be made available for drama equipment, Duke of Edinburgh Award equipment, and other uses.
The school first opened in 2013, at a temporary site in Wolsey Business Park, Watford, before relocating to its permanent location in September 2018 as it moved towards its full capacity of 840 pupils.
