Herts Police closed a Watford road after an oil spill caused a car to spin sideways.
The force have confirmed they were called to Greenbank Road, in the Courtlands area, at 12.12pm today (August 28) to assist with efforts to tackle the spillage.
“Officers attended to put a closure in place,” a spokesperson added. A line of cones and a vehicle blocking the carriageway can be seen at the road’s junction with The Drive.

Police officers, a Hertfordshire Highways officer, and a Highways vehicle can be seen beyond the line.
According to police, Highways is now leading the response after the closure was put in place.
A motorist said they reported the issue after their car skidded “badly” in the oil, although no damage was mentioned. A “big blue barrel” rolling down the hill was also reportedly seen.
A blue barrel is visible behind the closure in a photo from the scene.
The county council has been contacted for the latest information from Highways. Update to follow.
