Watford mayor Peter Taylor said: “The 2025 Audentior Awards will recognise and celebrate the commitment, hard work, and achievements of local people and organisations who are actively making Watford a better place to live and work in.
“Nominations can be made for anyone who makes a difference to our borough, such as an individual who has gone that extra mile to help others around them, an everyday hero or an organisation or group that have helped local people or achieved something fantastic.”
Residents can make nominations until September 24 by visiting www.audentiorawards.co.uk.

Watford Borough Council is asking that nominations spotlight individuals or groups that have “demonstrated exceptional dedication to the community, whether through volunteer work, public service, or acts of kindness that embody the spirit of Watford”.
The shortlist for the Mayor’s Award, recognising an individual for their outstanding contribution and dedication to the town, will be made by Mr Taylor and a winner will be chosen by the public.
Meanwhile, the Chairman’s Culture Award recognises someone who has helped raise the profile of the arts, amateur dramatics, or music in Watford.
Chairwoman Dawn Allen-Williamson, said: “We believe in celebrating the extraordinary contributions of our residents.
“The Audentior Awards are a chance to recognise those who go above and beyond for our community. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to nominate the unsung heroes in your neighbourhood.
“Together, let’s shine a light on the remarkable people who make Watford a better place for all."
The last Audentior Awards ran in 2022. They were first given out in 2004.
