More M1, M25, and A1(M) closures have been confirmed in the full list of works near Watford.

M1 lane closures from junctions 4 to 6 will be enforced between September 4 and September 7, for maintenance and parapet works.

These add to a lengthy list of dates when stretches of motorway will be wholly or partly shut in Hertfordshire, which includes the full M25 carriageway from 10pm to 6am between September 2 and September 7.

National Highways expects moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes for motorists using the diversion while it is shut clockwise between junction 20 and junction 21.

  • From 10pm August 29 to 5am August 30: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Southbound, junction 5 to junction 4. Lane closure for parapet replacements.
  • From 10pm September 2 to 5am September 3: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Northbound, junction London Gateway to junction 4. Lane closures for maintenance works.
  • From 10pm September 2 to 5am September 3: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Southbound, junction 5 to junction London gateway. Lane closures for maintenance works.
  • From 10pm September 3 to 5am September 4: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Northbound, junction 5 to junction 6. Lane closures for maintenance works.
  • From 10pm September 3 to 5am September 4: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Southbound, junction 6 to junction 5. Lane closures for maintenance works.
  • From 10pm September 4 to 5am September 5: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Northbound, junction 4 to junction 6. Lane closures for maintenance works.
  • From 10pm September 4 to 5am September 5: Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Northbound, junction 6 to junction 4. Lane closures for maintenance works.

A1(M):

  • (In progress) From 9pm August 15 to 5am September 12: Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Southbound, junction 2 to A1 southbound junction with Rowley Lane. Lane closure for urgent bridge repairs.
  • From 10pm August 27 to 5.30am September 3. Slight delays (under 10 minutes). Clockwise on the junction 1 roundabout. Lane closure for concrete repairs.
  • From 10pm September 3 to 6am September 7. Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). A1(M), M25 and A1 northbound, southbound, clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 24 to junction 23 and junction Bignells corner. Lane, slip road, and roundabout closure for surfacing works. Diversion via National Highways roads.
