A bus service stopping at Watford Junction and Watford High Street is set to launch next week.
Hertfordshire County Council had already announced a raft of changes bus route changes starting in September, but the new school service which is also open to the public has been added.
Known as the 885, it will run from Garston to Bushey Meads School between Monday and Friday.

According to the Intalink website timetable, it will make the following stops:
- Garston Lane Park Parade (7.30am), The Gossamers (opposite shops) (7.33am), Radlett Road (opposite Balmoral Road) (7.37am), Orphanage Road (opposite Reeds Crescent) (7.40am), Watford Junction (7.45am), Beechen Grove Stop M (7.47am), Watford High Street Railway station (7.50am), Bushey Arches (7.55am), and Bushey Meads School Grounds (8.05am)
- Bushey Meads School Grounds (3.10pm), Bushey Railway Station Stop B (3.15pm), Watford High Street Railway station (3.20pm), Exchange Road (3.23pm), Clarendon Road Stop S (3.25pm), Orphanage Road (opposite Reeds Crescent) (3.28pm), Radlett Road (opposite Balmoral Road) (3.31pm), The Gossamers (opposite shops) (3.35pm), and Garston Lane Park Parade (3.38pm)
During school holidays, a variant will still run as an “additional peak-period facility” between Garston and Watford.
This will leave Garston Lane Park Parade at 7.39am before stopping at The Gossamers (7.42am), Radlett Road (7.46am), Orphanage Road (7.49am), Watford Junction (7.51am), Watford Beechen Grove Stop M (7.53am).
It adds to the previously announced changes coming in September. Full list below:
September 1:
- The 321 Arriva service from Watford to Luton will have minor timetable changes.
- The 602 Uno service from Hatfield to Watford will have a revised timetable to improve its punctuality.
- The 635 Uno service from Hatfield to Watford will have a revised timetable to improve its punctuality.
From September 2:
- The Red Eagle 385 Watford to North Bushey Circular will have morning journey time revisions and will instead start at North Bushey Baptist Church at 8.17am.
- The Red Eagle W20 North Bushey to Oxhey Hall Circular will have a revised timetable due to changes in school opening and closing times.
- The Red Eagle W21 Carpenders Park to Watford, which is a school service that is open to the public, will have a revised timetable due to changes in school opening and closing times.
- The 306 Sullivan Buses service from Watford to Borehamwood will have a revised timetable. An early morning journey will be added - Monday to Friday - and there will be revised Friday afternoon services.
- The 306A Sullivan Buses service from Borehamwood to Garston will have revised journey times due to a change of the start and finish times at St Michael’s School.
- The 338 service from Colney Fields to Radlett will start serving all stops along its route and will have timetable changes.
- The 397 from Borehamwood to Queens School, Bushey will be introduced as a new school service that is open to the public. Run by Sullivans Buses, it will operate on schooldays only.
- The 832 Sullivan Buses service from South Oxhey to St Michael’s School will have timetable and route tweaks due to a change of the start and finish times at St Michael’s School.
- The 833 Sullivan Buses service will have a revised timetable due to a change of the start and finish times at St Michael’s School.
From September 22:
- The Arriva 725 Stevenage to Rickmansworth service will no longer serve Lister Hospital, this will result in timetable tweaks and patients will need to use the 301 service for Lister Hospital.
