A man has been charged in connection with two burglaries on the same day in Watford.

In Ridge Lane, near Cheslyn House and Gardens, a shed was broken into and a bike stolen. Another shed was also targeted in nearby Nascot Wood Road, following which two leaf blowers and a chainsaw were taken.

After the burglaries on July 20, police probes led to a man being arrested on August 17. This evening (August 22), officers confirmed Scott Morris, 50, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two non-dwelling burglaries.

He was remanded and appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Monday (19 August) where he was released on court bail.

Morris will next appear in court on January 14, 2025.

The suspect, described as black and aged in his late teens, reportedly took one of the bikes and rode off towards The Dome roundabout. No one was injured.
