Motorists using a busy road between Watford and Bushey are warned of ‘likely delays’ lasting for three weeks due to electricity works.
Temporary traffic lights will be in use in a section of Bushey Mill Lane from Monday with the works scheduled to last until September 17.
As we reported in last week's round-up of upcoming roadworks, part of St Albans Road will be closed overnight for a week, starting at 8pm on Wednesday, while surfacing works are carried out. The following day water works are due to start in Hempstead Road which are also likely to cause delays.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to take place in the Watford and Bushey area in the next few weeks:
- Drivers using Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey, are likely to experience delays lasting around three weeks due to works by Leep Electricity Networks. The works are due to start on Monday and continue until September 17. Two-way traffic lights will be in use in the section between the junctions with Radlett Road and Berrygrove Lane.
- Pathway reconstruction due to damage from tree roots works mean Maude Crescent, Watford, will be shut to vehicles from Monday to Wednesday.
- Delays are likely in Woodmere Avenue, Watford, from Tuesday to Saturday, August 31 for works by Leep Electricity Networks. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- St Albans Road, Watford, will be shut from 8pm to 5am, from Wednesday to September 5 for surfacing works. The closure will be in place from the A41 Dome Roundabout to No. 434 St Albans Road, near McDonald’s, but emergency access will be maintained at all times. A diversion will be in operation.
- Drivers are likely to experience delays in Hempstead Road, Watford, from Thursday, August 29 to September 2 due to works by Affinity Water. Two-way traffic lights will be in use approaching Stratford Way driving away from the town centre.
- A lane is due to be closed in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, from 9pm on September 2 to 5am the following day for inspection works. The works are due to take place adjacent to Nos. 7 to 9 Rosslyn Road to adjacent to the junction with Gate House Place.
- Judge Street, Watford, will be shut to traffic from 8am to 6pm between September 2 and September 6 to allow UK Power Networks to install a new service connection.
- Orphanage Road, Watford, will be closed to vehicles from 9.30am to 4pm, from September 2 to September 4 for surface dressing works. The closure will be in place from close to the junctions with Reeds Crescent and the Radlett Road roundabout.
Bridge deck investigation works mean a lane will be closed in Cassio Road, Watford, from 9pm to 5am between September 3 and September 11. The work will take place on the northbound slip road from Cassio Road to A412 eastbound.
