A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after police and firefighters worked at a Watford building for hours.
Herts Fire and Rescue, the East of England Ambulance Service, and Herts Police had multiple vehicles outside the new buildings in Marri Street, just off St Albans Road, until around 1.30pm today (August 22).
A police spokesperson has now confirmed that they were called to reports of a “concern for welfare” in Marri Street at around 10.10am.

“Officers have worked alongside both the ambulance service and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue during this incident,” they added.
“A 19-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.”
Nearby residents spotted a large number of police vehicles and multiple fire engines outside one of the blocks during the morning. Firefighters were seen entering the building.
The ambulance and fire vehicles have apparently now left the scene, with Herts Police having taken over.
