A Chorleywood secondary school has congratulated its pupils on their “exceptional” GCSE results as top grades were awarded in almost half of subjects.
St Clement Danes School said students will now have the opportunity to move onto their next “exciting steps” after 46 per cent of entrants achieved grades seven to nine (A-A*).
Teenagers were pictured smiling and laughing as they opened their result envelopes this morning after two years of studying.
The school added it looked forward to welcoming year 11 pupils back to its sixth form in September and wished school leavers the “very best of luck”.
Headteacher Mr. Sutherland said: "These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students and staff. We are thrilled to see so many achieve their potential and look forward to supporting them in the next stage of their education.
“As a school, we are proud of every student’s achievement and hope all remain connected as Old Danes for years to come.”
