Two men repeatedly shouted racist abuse at a woman in her 80s in Watford, sparking a police appeal for witnesses.
Officers are looking for a pair of suspects, described as two white men, over a hate crime outside the Morrisons supermarket in Ascot Road at around 6.20pm to 6.40pm on Friday, August 9.
Hertfordshire Police said the victim came out of the supermarket and was approached by one of two offenders who reportedly shouted racist comments, forcing her to return inside until she believed they had gone.
But when she left again minutes later to walk to the cashpoint, the second offender shouted further racist remarks.
Hate crime officer PC Danielle Murphy said: “The victim has obviously been left upset by this incident and she is being supported by the Hate Crime Team.
