Multiple strikes to the head left a man in his 70s with facial injuries in an attack at a Watford car park.
Police have appealed for information today (August 22) following the assault on the ground floor of the Sutton Car Park in Estcourt Road.
The victim was hit repeatedly hit, causing bruising and cuts to his face.
The force asked anyone who was in the area at the time - 10.25am on Friday, July 26 - to contact them with information. A picture of a person they are trying to identify has also been released.
PC Josh Gungum said: “This is a well-used car park on the edge of the town centre so I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.
“As part of the ongoing investigation I am keen to identify the individual pictured as they were in the area at the time and may have vital information.”
