The headteacher of a secondary school said he is “incredibly proud” of his pupils as they collected their GCSE results today.
Year 11 students at Rickmansworth School have “excelled” in this year’s results, Matt Fletcher said, after 85 per achieved five grades between four to nine (previously C-A*). Thirty per cent also attained five grades between seven to nine (A-A*).
“All the staff at Rickmansworth School are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements," Mr Fletcher added. "They took full advantage of all the support and facilities on offer at the school and have performed tremendously well.

“Our fantastic Sixth Form is full again for September 2024 and we wish the very best of luck to those students continuing their post-16 education elsewhere.”
Rickmansworth School highlighted three students who achieved grade nine (A*) in all nine subjects and will continue to its sixth form, including Erin Turpin who will study mathematics, further mathematics, biology and chemistry.
Olivia Rickards will study mathematics, further mathematics, French and geography, while Jasmine Man will also be do mathematics, further mathematics, economics and geography.
