Magistrates have heard allegations that a Watford man stalked a woman and sent her 800 texts in under three weeks.
Asif Shaikat appeared at Luton and South Bedfordshire Magistrates' Court on Monday (August 19) where he denied stalking without fear or distress.
The 40-year-old, of St Albans Road, was accused of calling his female victim in Luton over 100 times and sending her over 800 messages between July 24 and August 11.

He was remanded into custody before his bail application hearing at Luton Magistrates' Court on October 7.
Update: The charge was dismissed after no evidence was offered on October 7.

Watford man Nickolas Laurie Gard was ordered to pay £444 by Weymouth Combined Court on Monday (August 19) after he pleaded guilty to speeding.
The 50-year-old from St Albans Road was accused of driving at 61mph in a 50mph zone on the A338 near Bournemouth on September 15, 2023, and pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure, a system which allows magistrates to deal with cases on paper.
Gard was ordered to pay £444, of which there was a £253 fine, and handed three points to his licence.
