Passengers were forced to escape a late night car fire near Bovingdon as firefighters shared photos of the burnt out vehicle.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to Pudds Cross at around 10pm yesterday (August 21) to reports of a car on fire.
Berkhamsted Fire Station confirmed online that all the car’s passengers had escaped the vehicle without injury and it was extinguished by around 10.50pm.

Residents warned drivers to avoid Leyhill Road at the Shantock Hall Lane junction after it was closed by police to allow firefighters to deal with the blaze.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Mark Barber said: “Our on-call firefighters from Berkhamsted were called to a car fire in Pudds Cross, Bovingdon, at 9.45pm yesterday evening.
“The crew found a car well alight on the roadside, but fortunately everyone was safely out of the vehicle. Firefighters had extinguished the fire by 10.25pm, and nobody was hurt. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.”
