Almost £2,000 was raised for the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) at their summer fundraiser.
The event, NAWT-Fest, saw £1,900 raised for the Trust which opened its first-ever rescue centre in Watford where it provides a place of safety and rehabilitation to more than 400 animals a year on its four-and-a-half acre site.
The money raised will help the charity which has been "experiencing an unprecedented need for our support this summer."
Josie Hantonne, NAWT fundraising officer, said: "We’re thrilled with the success of NAWT-Fest, it was a wonderful day.
"We enjoyed catching up with some familiar faces as well as having the opportunity to meet new supporters.
"The money raised will make such a difference to the lives of animals in our care, especially as we have been experiencing an unprecedented need for our support this summer.
"Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day so special."
Taking place at Luton Rugby Club, visitors were entertained by a dog show, which included a rescue category, and stalls featuring arts and crafts, jewellery, and pet products.
There was also a tombola with prizes, including a dog-drinking water fountain donated by Closer Pets.
