Jaguar Land Rover will now be able to store and carry out minor repairs on cars at its Colne Valley Retail Park unit, expanding its offering in Watford.
A change of use application submitted by the retail park's owners, Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, was approved by Watford Borough Council on Wednesday (August 15).
It sought permission to change Unit 1D from storage and distribution use - which was agreed by an earlier application - to mixed use of both storage and distribution and vehicle repairs.
The car giant - known as Group 1 Jaguar - will soon occupy the empty adjoining unit for the purpose of storing cars, and now will be able to use the space to carry out minor repairs.

Retail park owners were also granted permission for the widening of a rear roller shutter door to enable this.
Applicants cited Watford's Local Plan 2022, which states: "The sites falls into an area designated “to facilitate transformative and coordinated change... producing a sustainable and mixed-use urban quarter of high quality design and place-making, excellent connectivity and a diverse range of uses."
